The Southside Christian Patriots were the 42-19 winner over Alleluia Community when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Southside Christian's tough 47-22 defeat to Alleluia Community on Friday might stick with them for a while. Southside Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-6.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alleluia Community to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reese Janik, who scored 12 points. The matchup was Janik's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alley McBride, who scored 11 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Southside Christian and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Alleluia Community, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Memorial Day the next time they take the court. Alleluia Community will head out to face Memorial Day at 1:15 p.m. on Friday, while Southside Christian will head out to face them at 1:15 p.m. on Monday.
