The Madison Trojans had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They managed a 49-43 victory over Erie-Mason. That's another feather in the cap for Madison, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Madison can attribute much of their success to Antonio Nieto, who scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Bryce Jordan, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Madison's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Erie-Mason, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Madison will head out on the road to face off against Britton Deerfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Britton Deerfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Erie-Mason, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Flat Rock at 7:00 p.m.
