For Genoa Christian Academy, this counts as revenge for the 68-49 defeat Tree of Life Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.
Genoa Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Jackson Kirura, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds. Luke Myers was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Tree of Life Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ronald Amoah. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Kanu, who scored eight points.
Genoa Christian Academy's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-5. As for Tree of Life Christian, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3.
Genoa Christian Academy will head out on the road to challenge Madison Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tree of Life Christian, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Northside Christian at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th. Northside Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
