The Kofa Kings were the 46-31 winner over the Glendale Cardinals when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Kofa took a 45-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals on Tuesday.
Despite the loss, Kofa still got an impressive performance from Shantal Montiel, who scored 14 points along with five steals. Montiel is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Amani Montiel, who scored nine points along with four steals and two blocks.
Kofa has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Glendale, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-12 record this season.
Kofa will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Rams at 5:30 p.m. As for Glendale, they will head out on the road to square off against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Buckeye will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
