The Boswell Pioneers will be playing at home against the Bell Blue Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
After soaring to 44 points the game before, Boswell were a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 54-7 loss at the hands of North Crowley. Boswell has struggled against North Crowley recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Bell was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 26-21 to Weatherford. That means Bell has now suffered back-to-back defeats.
Defeat or not, Bell got some senior leadership from Maddox Olatunde who rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries and Kenny Earskin who gained 96 total yards and a touchdown. Olatunde was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards.
Boswell's defeat on Friday also dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Bell, their loss on Friday also dropped their record down to 4-2.
Boswell beat Bell 20-13 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Will Boswell repeat their success, or does Bell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
