Make it seven blowout wins for the McDonough Warhawks this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Lovett 68-24 at home. That 44 points margin sets a new team best for McDonough this season.
McDonough's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amiyah Dedrick, who scored 21 points along with six assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dedrick has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Janique Trinidad, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and four steals.
McDonough's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Lovett, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McDonough will take on Hampton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lovett, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Woodland at 6:00 p.m. Woodland presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lovett in Georgia (Woodland is ranked 214th, while Lovett is ranked 510th).
