Meanwhile, Marshall have been struggling to pick up a win, with their contest against Harding Academy making it three winless games in a row. Marshall have to be aching after a bruising 8-41 defeat to Harding Academy. Marshall were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-41.
Clinton's win lifted them to 8-0 while Marshall's loss dropped them down to 1-7. In their win, Clinton relied heavily on senior Caleb Bowman, who rushed for 87 yards and 2 touchdowns. Marshall will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
