Friday Harbor will face off against Northwest Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Friday Harbor's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Concrete as they made off with a 13-0 win. That's two games straight that the Wolverines have won by exactly 13 runs.

Mason Smith and Floyd Holman were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Smith tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Holman kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. At the plate, Smith went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run, while Holman went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Friday Harbor got a massive performance out of Joseph Holt, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Holt has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Youngsman, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, Northwest Christian entered their tilt with Quilcene on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Rangers with a sharp 9-3 victory.
The team relied heavily on Joseph Meier, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Parker Cox, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Friday Harbor is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Northwest Christian, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Friday Harbor has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Northwest Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Friday Harbor was able to grind out a solid win over Northwest Christian when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 9-5. Will Friday Harbor repeat their success, or does Northwest Christian has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
