Basketball Recap: Blue Valley Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Blue Valley won against Washington County last Monday with 81 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Blue Valley Rams beat the Washington County Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 81-58. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Washington County's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavyn Leduc, who posted 16 points and five assists. Leduc is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Eli Chandler was another key player, going 5-for-9 en route to 14 points and six boards.

Blue Valley pushed their record up to 10-5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points over those games. As for Washington County, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blue Valley will take on Axtell on Friday. Axtell will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Blue Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Washington County, they will face off against Onaga at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
