The R.J. Reynolds Demons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Mount Tabor by a score of 65-62. R.J. Reynolds has not had much luck with Mount Tabor recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, R.J. Reynolds still got an impressive performance from Antoine Jones Jr., who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Andreas Kazakos, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
R.J. Reynolds has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Mount Tabor, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.
R.J. Reynolds will head out on the road to take on Parkland at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Parkland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Wednesday. As for Mount Tabor, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against East Forsyth at 8:15 p.m. East Forsyth knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Mount Tabor likes a good challenge.
