Despite the defeat, KIPP College Prep had strong showings from Mikah Prescott-Bell, who scored four points, and AJ Jackson, who scored three points along with five rebounds.
Friendship Tech Prep Academy found their leader in underclassman Malik Shackleford, who scored 24 points along with three steals. Shackleford continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Daniel Bumpass was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals.
KIPP College Prep's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-9. As for Friendship Tech Prep Academy, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4.
KIPP College Prep will face off against Friendship Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
