After two games on the road, Benjamin is heading back home. They will take on the Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Benjamin had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Raiders a 4-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Benjamin, who have now won eight matchups by three goals or more so far this season.
They hit Crescent City with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Ford Cash (2),
Giancarlo DiLeo, and
Charlie Scotto.
Meanwhile, Oxbridge Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over St. John Paul II Academy on Tuesday. The victory was just what Oxbridge Academy needed coming off of a 5-2 defeat in their prior contest.
Benjamin's win bumped their record up to 12-5-3. As for Oxbridge Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-6-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
