Oxbridge Academy is a perfect 6-0 against Palmer Trinity since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves will be taking part in a tournament against the Palmer Trinity Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Oxbridge Academy's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Pine Crest as Oxbridge Academy made off with a 15-0 victory. The ThunderWolves haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Oxbridge Academy let Ella Bianco and Kaiya Glucksman run wild. Bianco scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2, while Glucksman scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Glucksman has posted since back in March of 2024. Isabella LaForte also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Oxbridge Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .810. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Palmer Trinity waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Spartans 10-2. Palmer Trinity's victory was all the more impressive since the Spartans were averaging only 3.6 runs allowed on the season.
Mela Fajardo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Kinsey Cerda was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-4.
Palmer Trinity's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Oxbridge Academy, their record is now 6-4.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Oxbridge Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Palmer Trinity struggles in that department as they've averaged .365. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
