The Eastside Blazers won the last time they faced the Lakewood Park Christian Panthers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Eastside enjoyed a cozy 56-38 win over Lakewood Park Christian. The win made it back-to-back wins for Eastside.
It was another big night for Clayton Minnick, who scored 21 points along with six steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Eastside's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Acquaviva, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Avery MacFarlane, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Jensen Ridderheim was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.
Eastside now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lakewood Park Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Eastside will head out on the road to face off against Lakeland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lakeland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday. Lakewood Park Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Elkhart Christian Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
