Manzano was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Highland on Wednesday. The Manzano Monarchs were the clear victor by a 12-3 margin over the Highland Hornets. Considering the Monarchs have won three games by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Aljaris Pineda, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Grant Lord, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5.

Manzano now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for Highland, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manzano will welcome Albuquerque at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Highland, they will be playing at home against Albuquerque Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
