The Flanagan Falcons will square off against the Monsignor Pace Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Flanagan's victory against South Broward wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Flanagan narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past South Broward 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since February 12th.

Ethan Cabrera looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Daniel Chavez, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Carter Roberts was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Monsignor Pace, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 9-3 margin over Florida Christian on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Spartans have posted against the Patriots since April 19, 2017.
Monsignor Pace also got a great performance from Aiden Rivero as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.
At the plate, Jonathan Vazquez was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Rudy Marichal, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Monsignor Pace's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Flanagan, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
Flanagan came out on top in a nail-biter against Monsignor Pace when the teams last played back in February of 2016, sneaking past 3-1. Will Flanagan repeat their success, or does Monsignor Pace have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
