Softball Recap: Olympic Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Olympic waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the North Mason Bulldogs an 8-0 shutout. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Brenda Morrison's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bella Crowell and Beya Richmond did most of the damage at the plate: Crowell went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double, while Richmond went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Crowell has posted since back in April.

Olympic pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for North Mason, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8-1.

Olympic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Mason, they will be playing at home against North Kitsap at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
