The Caliche Buffaloes suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 77-26 loss at the hands of Merino. Caliche has struggled against Merino recently, as their matchup on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Caliche lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Karsyn Huss, who scored 12 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryann Svoboda, who scored seven points.
Caliche's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Merino, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caliche will take on Otis at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Merino won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Stratton at 2:00 p.m. on January 20th. Stratton is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
