Meanwhile, Wausau West was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 13-7 to D.C. Everest.
Stevens Point's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.6 points per game. As for Wausau West, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.
