The Smith-Cotton Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Eldon as Smith-Cotton made off with a 63-40 victory. The win was familiar territory for Smith-Cotton who now have three in a row.
Eldon lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Delaney Mcghay, who scored 13 points. The matchup was Mcghay's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Halderman, who scored 11 points along with five assists.
Smith-Cotton now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Eldon, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Smith-Cotton will head out on the road to face off against Harrisonville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Harrisonville is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Eldon will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Buffalo at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Buffalo is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
