The Vigor Wolves will play host again and welcome the Carroll Eagles, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Vigor will be strutting in after a win while Carroll will be coming in after a loss.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Vigor walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Rattlers on Thursday as they made off with a 75-54 victory. Vigor has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 20 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Carroll's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost to Charles Henderson on the road by a decisive 70-53 margin. Carroll has not had much luck with Charles Henderson recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite their defeat, Carroll saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Devon Pruitt, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Pruitt hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Culver, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Vigor is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season. As for Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 20-7.
