Cross is a perfect 3-0 against Whale Branch since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 6:00 p.m. Cross will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Cross is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Hilton Head Prep 23-8 last Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Stingrays, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

At the plate, Hollings went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run, while Alaysia got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave Alaysia a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sydney Hollings, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. What's more, she posted five RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Cross was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .706. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Whale Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch last Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Lowcountry Leadership, falling 14-2. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly 12 runs.
Whale Branch's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Cross, their record now sits at 8-4.
Everything went Cross' way against Whale Branch in their previous meeting back in March, as Cross made off with a 20-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stingrays since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
