On Cox's side, Chloe Vice made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Vice was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Preslee Sherlock was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyric Alfier, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
