With a playoff game on the line, the Highland Rams rose to the challenge on Friday. They managed a 20-14 win over Meridian. The win was familiar territory for Highland who now have six in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Highland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackson Riddle, who rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Riddle's longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards. Another player making a difference was Rhidge Barela, who picked up 75 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Highland's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Meridian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Highland is on the road again on Saturday and play against Coeur d'Alene at 1:00 p.m. on November 18th. Coeur d'Alene is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games. Meridian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
