Even though the Alma Panthers scored an imposing 62 points on Monday, the Frankenmuth Eagles still came out on top. Frankenmuth managed a 68-62 win over the Panthers. For Frankenmuth, this counts as revenge for the 55-51 loss the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Carson Knoll was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Edwards, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Frankenmuth is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Alma, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
Frankenmuth will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Swan Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 337th, while the Eagles are ranked 144th). As for Alma, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th.
