First Flight extended their postseason success on Monday against Clinton. They came out on top against the Dark Horses by a score of 58-48. The Nighthawks are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 21 straight.

Maddy Beatson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double with 29 points and nine steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Karlee Jester, who posted nine points and eight rebounds.

First Flight was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They are a perfect 20-0 when they've passed the ball that well.

When it comes to explaining why Clinton lost, don't look at Rubi Davila. Despite the final result, she shot 50% from the field on her way to 18 points and five steals. Davila has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jayla Pickett, who went 5-for-11 en route to 10 points and five boards.

First Flight's win bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Clinton, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 25-2.

Looking ahead, First Flight will take on Fairmont at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Nighthawks' defense better be ready for this one: the Golden Tornadoes have averaged an impressive 64.2 points per game this season. Clinton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
