The West Shamokin Wolves are taking a road trip to  square off against the Armstrong River Hawks  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
On Wednesday,  everything went West Shamokin's way against Portage as West Shamokin made off with  a  13-2 victory. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.

 Avery Elkin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched. Elkin was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 4-for-4. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, West Shamokin got a  massive  performance out of  Cameron Vandervort, who  went 3-for-4 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.  Madi Keirn was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 West Shamokin  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Portage only posted  an  OBP of  .250.
 Meanwhile, Armstrong earned  a  7-4 victory over Indiana  on Wednesday.
 West Shamokin's win was  their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 2-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9 runs. As for Armstrong,  the  victory  got them back to even at 1-1.
