The Coatesville Red Raiders will square off against the Unionville Longhorns at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Coatesville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.
Coatesville lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Oxford, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's match. The Red Raiders' pitcher stepped up to hand the Hornets a 13-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Red Raiders have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Gracelynn Landis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Coatesville got a big performance out of Camryn Poppoff, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Olivia Wilkins was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Coatesville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oxford only posted an OBP of .273.
Meanwhile, Unionville was able to grind out a solid victory over Great Valley on Monday, taking the game 9-5. The Longhorns haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Lily DeLong was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Grace Levendis, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Coatesville is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Unionville, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
Unionville's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Coatesville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game.
