If the Riverside Bulldogs were riding high off their 64-32 takedown of the Charleston Tigers last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Riverside fell just short of Leflore County by a score of 70-68. It was the first time this season that Riverside let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, Riverside still got an impressive performance from Aaron Stewart, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Stewart hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. BJ Amos was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
It was another big night for Keveunte Parker, who shot 4-for-6 from long range and dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 rebounds for Leflore County. Parker continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Keveon Cross, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds.
Riverside's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-6. As for Leflore County, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-12.
Riverside will face off against North Side at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leflore County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against O'Bannon at 7:30 p.m.
