Ridgeview scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a hard 73-59 fall against the St. Johns Country Day Spartans. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2016.

St. Johns Country Day got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Camden Cooper out in front who posted 18 points along with six assists and six boards. The dominant performance gave Cooper a new career-high in assists. Dylan Reach was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

Ridgeview has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for St. Johns Country Day, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeview won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Christ's Church Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Christ's Church Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.9 points per game this season. As for St. Johns Country Day, they will face off against St. Joseph Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
