There's no place like home for the Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They secured a 58-52 W over Valley on Thursday. For Southeast Career Tech, this counts as revenge for the 51-28 loss Valley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2020.
Bianca Vazquez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Southeast Career Tech's points. Morgan Sweet was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds.
Despite the loss, Valley saw an underclassman step up: Anaya Williams scored 22 points. The contest was Williams' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of RaJean Bobbins, who scored eight points.
Southeast Career Tech's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.
Southeast Career Tech won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cimarron-Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on January 5th. Cimarron-Memorial is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bonanza at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Bonanza is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
