The Seagoville Dragons will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Adams Cougars at 7:30 p.m. The two teams are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.
Seagoville suffered their closest loss since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of North Mesquite by a score of 63-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Isaiah Gonzalez, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Travion Hall, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Adams had to settle for a 57-54 loss against Poteet on Tuesday. Adams has not had much luck with Poteet recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Terell Toomas, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Keiontay marsh was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Seagoville's loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Adams, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-17.
Seagoville was able to grind out a solid win over Adams when the teams last played on January 2nd, winning 57-47. Does Seagoville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Adams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
