The Classical Saints gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against Central Christian by a score of 55-47. That's another feather in the cap for Classical, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Sam Wilkey, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Young, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Classical's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Central Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Classical will take on Sedgwick at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sedgwick and Classical are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Central Christian, they will be playing at home against Canton-Galva on Tuesday.
