Waldron is 2-7 against Jackson Christian since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Waldron Spartans will be home for the holidays to greet the Jackson Christian Royals at 7:30 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Wednesday, Waldron came up short against Springport and fell 50-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Waldron has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Jackson Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 59-35 loss at the hands of Lansing Christian. Jackson Christian has not had much luck with Lansing Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Waldron now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Jackson Christian, they bumped their record down to 1-4 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Waldron strolled past Jackson Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a score of 48-33. Will Waldron repeat their success, or does Jackson Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
