There's no place like home for the Harrison Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 52-48 win over East Central on Saturday. That's another feather in the cap for Harrison, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Donovan Mckain was a one-man wrecking crew for Harrison as he scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mckain has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Rogers, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
East Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Peyton Hofer, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Carson Pieczonka, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Harrison's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for East Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.
Harrison will be playing at home against the Fighting Owls at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Central, they will head out on the road to square off against the Knights on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Indiana (South Dearborn is ranked 234th, while the Trojans are ranked 211th).
