The Pine Crest Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Saint Andrew's Scots at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Pine Crest had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Monarch on Tuesday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Knights.

Michael Marber made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Marber was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Pine Crest's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 3-1 (and 6-7 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Jake Milton was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2025. Stephen Gladding was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Pine Crest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Saint Andrew's came out on top against Legacy on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run first inning. The Scots put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 12-1 win. The Scots not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since February 12th (when they won 12-1).
Richard Breeden tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Oliver Lipari, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Matt Spina, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Saint Andrew's is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Pine Crest, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Pine Crest skirted past Saint Andrew's 5-4 in their previous meeting back in February. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Scots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
