Softball Recap: Hueneme Has No Trouble Against Pomona Catholic

With a playoff win on the line, Hueneme rose to the challenge on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Pomona Catholic Pacers with a sharp 13-2 win. Considering the Vikings have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Roxanna Silva was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Savannah Magallon, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.

Hueneme's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14. As for Pomona Catholic, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10.

As of now, neither Hueneme nor the Pacers have any future games scheduled.
