After flying high against the Mater Brighton Lakes Academy Broncos last Monday, the Cypress Creek Bears came back down to earth. Cypress Creek was outmatched by the Wildcats on the road and fell 56-15. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cypress Creek in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.
Sam Childs continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Winter Park, scoring 22 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Riley, who scored four points along with two steals.
Cypress Creek has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Winter Park, they pushed their record up to 20-5 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home.
Cypress Creek will square off against the Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Winter Park, they will take on the Huskies at TBD on Monday.
