The third road  contest was the charm for Chartiers Valley, as they earned their first away  victory of the season. Everything went their way against the Moon Area Tigers on Wednesday as they made off with  a  10-1 win. The  victory continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.
 Taylor Walsh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on six hits and racked up six Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Delaney O'Connor was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. What's more,  she posted two  RBI, the most she's  had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Annabelle Helt, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-5.
 O'Connor wasn't the only one making solid contact: Chartiers Valley  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. The Colts are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Chartiers Valley now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Moon Area, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the  defeat, which was their sixth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chartiers Valley will head out to  square off against Montour  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Colts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 9.8  runs per game this season. As for Moon Area, they will venture away from home to  face off against Upper St. Clair  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
