Pinewood Prep has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Northwood Academy Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pinewood Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 199th, while Northwood Academy is ranked eighth).
Last Wednesday, Pinewood Prep came up short against Palmetto Christian Academy and fell 47-40.
Meanwhile, Northwood Academy waltzed into their matchup on Monday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They were the clear victor by a 55-29 margin over Cathedral Academy. Northwood Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 26 points or more this season.
Pinewood Prep bumped their record down to 1-13 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Northwood Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.
Pinewood Prep took a serious blow against Northwood Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 55-25. Can Pinewood Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
