Marsing hasn't had much luck against Parma recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Huskies will face off against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m.
On Monday, Marsing didn't have quite enough to beat Melba and fell 6-5.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Parma). Everything went their way against Vision on Monday as they made off with a 26-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 13 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Poppy Nichols was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2025. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Parma let Kinlea Cole and Nalani VanTuyl run wild. Cole went 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI, while VanTuyl fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most RBI Cole has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kylie Britton, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and three RBI.
Parma lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
The win was the third in a row for Parma, bringing their record up to 17-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Marsing, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
Marsing suffered a grim 16-3 defeat to Parma in their previous matchup on April 6th. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
