Charleston Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mary Rushworth, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Rushworth has scored at least 25% of Charleston Catholic's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Rahin, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Magnolia, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They had to suffer through a rough 78-15 loss at the hands of St. Marys. Magnolia has struggled against St. Marys recently, as their match on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Charleston Catholic's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Magnolia, they bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
