Landon Hood posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
