Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oshkosh North). Everything went their way against the Appleton West Terrors on Tuesday as they made off with a 12-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Spartans considering their two-run performance the game before.
Brooke Peters made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Olivia Borowitz was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Niemczyk, who went 3-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.
Oshkosh North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
