Springtown has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Decatur Eagles at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Springtown has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Springtown beat Lake Worth 58-52.
Meanwhile, Decatur entered their tilt with Bridgeport with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Decatur walked away with a 31-22 win over Bridgeport on Tuesday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Decatur has scored all year.
Decatur can attribute much of their success to Bralyn Peck, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds, and Reese Christian, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Springtown's victory bumped their record up to 18-14. As for Decatur, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.
Springtown was taken down by Decatur 98-19 when the teams last played on January 9th. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Springtown was down 59-7.
