The St. James Saints suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 61-11 loss at the hands of Mercersburg Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. James has scored all season.
It was another big night for Nia Henley, who scored 15 points along with seven steals for Mercersburg Academy. Henley hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Allister Caretti was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for St. James and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for Mercersburg Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
St. James won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Brunswick at 5:30 p.m. on January 11th. Brunswick is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Mercersburg Academy on the road again on Friday and play against Episcopal at 6:45 p.m. on January 12th. Episcopal will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
