The Somerset Academy Key Lions pushed their score all the way to 55 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were dealt a 104-55 loss at the hands of Westminster Academy. Somerset Academy Key was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-28.
Westminster Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeremiah Police, who shot 5-for-9 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 51 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Police has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Constanza, who dropped a triple-double on 24 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists.
This is the second loss in a row for Somerset Academy Key and nudges their season record down to 7-12. As for Westminster Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-5.
Somerset Academy Key won't have much time to rest: their next game is against FAU High at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. FAU High is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Westminster Academy, they will face off against Berkeley Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Berkeley Prep is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
