The Fideles Christian Rangers will be playing at home against the Scholars Guild Academy Spartans at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Fideles Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Scholars Guild Academy likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Fideles Christian was fully in charge, breezing past St. John Bosco Academy 86-41 at home. Given Fideles Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while St. John Bosco Academy is ranked 107th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Fideles Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaxon Merritt out in front who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Jaxton Rice, who scored 4 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 assists.
Meanwhile, even though Killian Hill Christian scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, Scholars Guild Academy still came out on top. Scholars Guild Academy snuck past Killian Hill Christian with a 63-58 victory.
Fideles Christian has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 6-0 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Scholars Guild Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
