When it comes to explaining why Whiting lost, one person who can't be blamed is Shawn Donaldson. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. Donaldson scored a full 65.2% of Whiting's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Andrean's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Whiting, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Andrean will take on Hammond Bishop Noll at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024. As for Whiting, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Illiana Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
