After a string of three wins, Centre County Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 75-53 walloping at the hands of Columbia County Christian. Centre County Christian Academy has struggled against the recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Columbia County Christian found their leader in underclassman Pierce Cughan, who dropped a double-double on 48 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Cughan has scored at least a third of Columbia County Christian's points. Clay Farley was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Centre County Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Columbia County Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.
Centre County Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Blair County Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Columbia County Christian, they and the Thunder will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
